Opening the public record

ThreatWire is live as a record, not a firehose. X carries the short dispatch. The site carries the detail, and only after it is edited.

Published 5 Oct 2026

ThreatWire is open as a public record of vulnerabilities, proof-of-concept status, and security reporting.

The short version of a story can go out on X. The site is where the record lives: what is affected, what is fixed, whether a public PoC or exploit is actually confirmed, and whether CISA lists it in the KEV catalog. Those are different facts, and the pages keep them separate.

The first records are historical and sourced. CVE-2024-3400, CVE-2021-44228, and CVE-2024-3094 are here so the status model is visible on real vulnerabilities, not on invented ones. Dates on those pages are the disclosure dates. The review date is the day the record was checked for this launch.

New writing is drafted in the editor and published by hand. A feed can suggest a draft later. It will not publish one.
